Circvs

Massaretta, Alicante, Albarossa

The Circus in Roman times was a place for meeting, socializing and partying. It had a circular shape, from which it derives its name. A circus
existed in the ancient city of Luni, called “Portus Lunae”. To this place we
have dedicated a fresh and convivial red wine, born from three different
varieties: Massareta, an ancient native vine, Alicante, a well acclimatized
vine in the Tyrrhenian area, and the Albarossa, the grape variety born in
the early 1900s.

Method of production

Circvs is born from vineyards located a few kilometers from the sea, characterized by sandy soils and excellent ventilation, and it is from this land that “Circvs” draws its identity: a fresh, pleasant Mediterranean red. The meeting of the different grapes in vinification and the brief aging in steel tanks, they give this wine great personality and freshness.

Tasting

Purple red of medium depth. The bouquet is focused on intense floral tones of geranium and red flowers, continuing its evolution towards notes of cherry, wild strawberries and currants. A spice of black pepper accompanies a light note of eucalyptus. A full, rounded mouthfeel, with grippy but soft tannins. The finish has great persistence with delicate references to the fruit.
